Why a Small School is Great!

-classes are smaller, which means more individualized instruction and more attention given to each student
-teenagers have more opportunity for involvement in leadership and extra-curricular programs
-teachers really get to know and understand each student, and can take a more active roleĀ in the education of each student
-students typically take more ownership and have more pride in their school
-relationships that are close can be formed between students, teachers, staff, and administration
-fosters a community rather than simply an organisation
-staff can work together more easily to present a unified approach to their classes
…the list could go on. We, at Carver, have experienced these benefits first-hand. While we are growing and encouraging growth, our long-term plan is to remain a small school (no more than 400) where students and staff alike can experience true Christian community and a great education without getting lost in the crowd.
