Born and raised in Manitoba, I earned my teaching certification from the University of Winnipeg in 2001. Although I trained at the secondary level, my teaching experience began with six years in a core area middle school. In 2007, I moved to Vancouver “for two years” to teach Grade 8 classes at Vancouver Christian School, and immediately fell in love with the city and the amazing (mosquito-free) recreational opportunities the Lower Mainland offers.
I was thrilled to join the teaching team at Carver Christian High School. With a home and small family nearby, the West Coast is now my home, and I am committed to the development of Christian education here in BC. With classes in English, Social Studies, and Information Technology, I am passionate about helping students connect their learning with today’s society. With rapid leaps forward in technology, today’s high school classroom is a place full of exciting possibilities.
