I am excited to be a part of the Carver Community and its commitment to educate and equip disciples of Jesus who are fruitful in every area of their lives. As one of the Jr. High humanities teachers this school year, I look forward to assisting with the educational and spiritual development of our youngest students in Grades 7 & 8.
Growing up in northern Ontario, I had endless opportunities to spend time in the great outdoors. I love the beauty and serenity of God’s creation. It was through a Christian camping ministry in my hometown area that I became a committed follower of Jesus. After high school, I studied at Prairie Bible College where I received a Certificate in Biblical Studies. In 2005, I graduated from Lakehead University with a BA and BEd in Geography and Phys. Ed. I started my career as a Middle School teacher at a private school in Mexico where I pursued my love of teaching, travel, and tacos!
I have served for five years as the youth pastor at University Chapel in Vancouver where I have had the opportunity to work with a diverse group of young people. It has been a joy to help them grow in their faith and in their relationships with others. I look forward to a similar experience here at Carver!
