Science
Our science program is both challenging and rewarding. In Biology, Chemistry, and Physics we apply abstract concepts to real life – and we have fun doing it! Our educational field trips take us to various places like the Vancouver Aquarium, Playland, Go-Carting, and Science World. Carver’s laboratories are fully equipped and used for various experiments including dissections. As with all Carver’s programs, Science at Carver is academically rigorous; students are expected to work hard and apply themselves in every activity or assignment.
Mathematics
Our Mathematics Department offers Ministry-approved Essentials and Principles of Mathematics pathways. Both strands focus on positive attitudes, problem solving, communicating mathematically, connecting and applying mathematical ideas, contextual mathematics, reasoning mathematically, using technology, and the importance of estimation and mental mathematics. We also offer AP Calculus to our senior students.
