“Leading to Serve”
Carver is committed to strategic outreach and witness both to our immediate community and to other countries in which we have the opportunity to serve. The inner-city missions focus at Carver brings students to volunteer at places like Union Gospel Mission and other local community services. Students are encouraged to serve within and without the walls of their classrooms.
Every student in Grade 11 has the opportunity to go on a weeklong overseas mission trip to a place like Costa Rica, China, or Mexico. This yearly trip jolts kids out of their comfort zones, giving them a valuable opportunity to sacrifice time, money, and the comforts they are used to, in order to serve others. While sharing the love of Christ, every year students are blown away by the Christ-like love that is shown to them in return. One of our primary goals at Carver is to encourage students to grow and learn in order to serve; outreach and mission trips fall right into line with this objective.
